sb2 appeals a denied recertification and obtains $10k in past benefits for OH facility (plus $5.7k a month going forward)

sb2 intervened in an Ohio case when a Medicaid-approved resident’s benefits were discontinued after the County located a resource that had been unknown. sb2 appealed the denial and received an approval for $10k in past benefits with 5.7k per month going forward.  In addition, an appeal is pending regarding the recovery of an additional $20,000, and it is anticipated that a full recovery of the remaining balance will be made via an adjustment to the patient liability.
