sb2 obtains $260k for an MD facility

After a resident's Medicaid application remained pending for over a year, sb2 intervened and filed an appeal.  At the hearing sb2 obtained an order from the ALJ requiring the agency to immediately process the resident's August 2011 application.  The agency requested additional verifications, but upon receipt failed to comply with the order and issue a notice of eligibility.  sb2 filed a petition to compel the agency to act and filed a petition with the Office of Administrative Hearings. A notice of eligibility was subsequently received, granting benefits beginning June 2011, the effective date requested by the facility.
